BrightStar Care of Anchorage is looking for an experienced, dependable Full-Time Caregiver to join our team in a float position providing coverage for clients throughout Eagle River and the Mat-Su Valley. This role is designed to provide consistent coverage where our clients need it most. Rather than working with one assigned client, you'll step into different client homes to help fill scheduled coverage gaps and ensure clients continue receiving dependable, high-quality care. If you're confident in your caregiving skills, comfortable working with clients who have significant personal-care needs, and enjoy variety in your workday, we'd love to hear from you. Starting pay of $22+/hour, depending on experience Full-time - 40 hours per week Consistent Wednesday-Sunday schedule Primarily daytime hours: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel Medical benefits Weekly pay with direct deposit Free training and continuing education RN oversight and support Employee referral bonus Mobile access to scheduling, timekeeping, and care documentation Employee recognition programs What You'll Do Depending on the client's individualized plan of care, responsibilities may include: Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care Providing hands-on care for bed-bound or mobility-dependent clients Assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and mobility Supporting proper skin care and helping prevent skin breakdown Meal preparation and feeding assistance Medication reminders and assistance with self-administration as permitted Light housekeeping and linen changes Transportation to appointments, activities, or shopping when assigned Observing and reporting changes in a client's physical, mental, or emotional condition Accurately documenting care provided Protecting each client's safety, privacy, dignity, and independence Who We're Looking For This is not an entry-level caregiving position. We're looking for someone with strong hands-on caregiving skills who can confidently work independently and adapt to different client environments and care needs.
Required:
At least 3 years of professional caregiving experience OR current CNA certification Previous hands-on experience providing personal care for bed-bound or mobility-dependent clients Ability to safely assist with bathing, toileting, positioning, transfers, and other activities of daily living Valid driver's license Reliable, insured transportation Willingness and ability to travel between client homes throughout Eagle River and the Mat-Su Valley with mileage reimbursement Availability to work Wednesday-Sunday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM Dependable attendance and strong communication skills Ability to work independently while following an established plan of care Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, timekeeping, and care documentation Ability to meet required employment health and safety screenings Physical Requirements This is a hands-on caregiving position. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and assist clients with mobility and personal care. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
