This position a weekend Saturday & Sunday caregiver position . Open Arms Assisted Living home has one adult male . The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years experience and/or a 2+ year degree with internship experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. The candidate should be reliable, consistent, patient, self motivating, and social. The candidate must have strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and writing skills. The following duties are required as part of the position :

• Meal preparation/cooking.
• Own transportation to transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Daily house cleaning.
• Daily detailed note writing
• Medication assistance.
• Following the residents plans of care and goals. The typical work schedule will begin Saturday at 7:00am to 11:00pm and Sunday 7:00am
• 11:00pm.

There are two back to back 16 hour shifts. Staff are required to stay at the home for the duration of the work schedule. When residents are out of the home at community events, staff is allowed to use that time as they desire. The hourly rate is $21.45 per hour. $500 bonus after 6 months of employment.

Requirements :

• Adult CPR/First Aid certification.
• TB test card.
• Background check with fingerprints.
• Clean background.
• Minimum two years of experience.
• Good driving record.
