We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to assist seniors with maintaining their independence and quality of life within their home environment. Position Summary The Chore Provider assists seniors with household tasks and daily support services that help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. This position works independently while supporting participants with dignity, respect, and compassion. Key Responsibilities Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, changing bed linens, and general home organization Assist with grocery shopping and household errands Prepare meals and provide meal assistance as needed Help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary living environment Observe participant health and safety needs and communicate concerns appropriately Complete documentation and case notes accurately and timely Enter participant information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members Attend trainings, staff meetings, and required in-service sessions Maintain compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements Perform additional support duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required One year of verifiable work experience preferred, especially in human services, healthcare, or senior services Must meet agency driving requirements (minimum age 21 and licensed for at least 3 years) Reliable transportation and good driving record required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems Experience with housekeeping, meal preparation, and direct support preferred Genuine interest in supporting seniors and vulnerable individuals Required Certifications (Agency Provided) CPR Certification First Aid Certification Geri-Care Certification Valid Alaska Driver's License required Additional Requirements Annual PPD/TB screening Hepatitis B immunization or signed waiver Working Conditions This position involves medium physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and assisting with household tasks.
