Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Live-In or hourly Caregiver in the Matsu Valley area to offer comprehensive support to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized care needs. This role involves providing personal care, medication management, and emotional support within a home environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and disability care, demonstrating compassion, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to enhance the quality of life for our clients. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall well-being. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing personalized care plans. Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, medication administration, and care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings as needed. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, or geriatrics is highly valued. Knowledge of hospice care, patient monitoring techniques, and familiarity with care plans is essential. Certifications in CPR and first aid are required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer's care will be considered an asset. Strong skills in patient personal care assistance, medication management, and social work principles are important for success in this role. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving while adhering to resident rights and confidentiality standards.
