Day Shift:

6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Includes the extra $2.00/hr. differential)

Night Shift:

6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Includes the extra $2.50/hr. differential) Please indicate your preferred shift when attaching your resume on Indeed and when completing your online application. Job Summary & Essential Duties As an ICF Resident Aide, you will provide direct care for our individuals served. You will assist the ICF Nurse Team-Lead, Health and Wellness Coordinator, and support staff in delivering nursing support, daily care, and therapeutic activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct Care & Independence:

Assist residents with daily self-care practices such as personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, cooking, home maintenance, shopping, and laundry scheduling to foster self-esteem and build independence.

Clinical Collaboration:

Take direction from the ICF Team-Lead Nurse on duty (LPN or RN) as well as the ICF Program Coordinator and ICF RN/Staffing Coordinator regarding all aspects of resident care.

Implementation & Progress Tracking:

Assist in executing Active Treatment Care Plans (such as IPPs). Collect, document, and input accurate, timely data regarding residents' progress toward goals to satisfy regulatory and ROI policy requirements.

Therapeutic Activities:

Help the Activities Coordinator administer exercises, artistic projects, social/life skills training, and recreational outings.

Nutrition & Social Interaction:

Serve meals and eat with residents to actively role-model positive behaviors and promote natural social interaction.

Safety & Upkeep:

Maintain excellent cleanliness and safety within the home to provide pleasant living conditions that meet all licensing, certification, and regulatory agency rules.

Transportation & Supervision:

Transport and accompany residents to medical appointments, community outings, and shopping trips. Safely always supervise residents, both inside the facility and during outside activities.

Operational Readiness:

Remain awake, alert, and focused during all work hours.

Job Requirements & Qualifications Age & Education:

Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED. One or two years of related experience operating a household or providing direct care is preferred.

Licensure & Compliance:

Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must pass a pre-employment clean drug screen, a clear background check, and a TB Screening Test.

Preferred Credentials:

CNA certification and/or 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Training Timeline:

Must successfully complete First Aid, CPR, CPI, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse & Neglect, Individuals' Rights, and all other required compliance training within 90 days of hire.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly required to use hands/fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on your own , as well as lift/transfer a resident with assistance as needed. Specific close and long-distance vision capabilities are required.
