You will be instrumental in supporting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity while fostering a positive environment that promotes independence and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting, ensuring respectful and personalized care. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments and communicate findings to healthcare teams. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, employing specialized techniques for safety and engagement. Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers while adhering to proper lifting practices. Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control standards. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalized care plans are followed and needs are met promptly. Drive residents safely using standard passenger cars when required for appointments or community outings. Respond swiftly to emergencies by applying first aid or CPR when necessary, always prioritizing resident safety. Support group activities or social programs that promote mental stimulation and social interaction among residents. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate senior care or dementia/memory care services. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and safe patient lifting practices is essential. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments enhances your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation ensures accurate record keeping of resident care activities. Long-term care experience combined with home & community care background is advantageous. Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely while maintaining a caring attitude toward residents' well-being.
