Program Manager / Supervisor Position Summary The Direct Care Support Professional (DCS) provides compassionate, person-centered care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, or behavioral health needs. The DCS assists members in achieving greater independence, community integration, personal growth, and an enhanced quality of life while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Essential Job Responsibilities Provide direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and personal hygiene. Assist members with medication reminders or medication administration in accordance with Arizona regulations and agency policies. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed. Maintain accurate documentation, daily notes, incident reports, medication records, and service documentation. Support members in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP). Assist with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of mobility equipment. Transport members to medical appointments, community activities, employment, educational programs, and recreational events. Encourage independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow agency emergency procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age . High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if driving is required). Reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance. Ability to pass a criminal background check through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). Ability to obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card if required by the position). Current Article 9 Certification (or the ability to obtain and maintain certification within the agency's required timeframe). Current CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain upon hire. Ability to complete all required Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) training. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience providing direct care or caregiving services. Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Medication administration experience. Behavioral health or positive behavior support experience. Certified Caregiver experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach for extended periods. Assist with transfers using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. Ability to work in residential homes and community settings. Arizona Requirements Employees must successfully complete all required Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) training and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations. Employees must maintain all required certifications, including Article 9 Certification , CPR/First Aid, fingerprint clearance (when applicable), and mandatory annual training throughout employment.
