Job Overview This is a DDD Funded join to work with a 3years old boy in Avondale. $16 for Respite and $19 for Habilitation for up to 20hours weekly combine hours: W2, Biweekly pay, and Direct Deposit. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe changes in health status, and accurately document observations to inform care plans. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans while ensuring safety during medication routines. Offer transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Support clients with memory care needs including Alzheimer's disease or dementia by implementing specialized techniques for safety and engagement. Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response procedures when necessary. Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery aligned with individual resident rights and preferences. Experience Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, or intellectual disabilities support experience is advantageous. Hands-on experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care along with familiarity with memory care techniques is desirable. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs assessment and patient observation is essential. Experience working within long-term care environments or hospice settings is beneficial. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications related to heavy lifting or manual handling are a plus. Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams are necessary to succeed in this role.
