A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.
Circles of Hope is currently seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver/DSP to support an energetic and curious two-year-old child in a family-home setting. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, believes in creating a safe and supportive environment, and wants to make a genuine difference in a child's daily life and development.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM How you'll spend your day: Providing attentive supervision and hands-on support throughout the day Following established routines, support strategies, and guidance provided in the child's personalized "All About Me" binder Assisting with play, engagement, learning activities, and daily routines Supporting communication using simple signs, PECS/visual supports, and other communication tools as needed Assisting with diapering and potty-training routines Document basic daily information such as food intake, toileting, and activities Maintaining a calm, patient, and positive approach throughout the day
Preferred Qualities:
Reliable and dependable Patient, nurturing, and attentive Comfortable keeping up with an active and energetic toddler throughout the day Comfortable working in a family-home environment Able to remain engaged and active throughout the shift Experience with children, caregiving, behavioral support, or developmental disabilities is helpful but not required
Required Certifications & Training:
Selected applicants must be willing and able to complete all required pre-employment steps, training, and certifications prior to working independently.
Requirements include:
Fingerprint clearance/background clearance Article 9 training CPR/First Aid certification DCW - Direct Care Worker certification Circles of Hope is happy to provide required trainings and onboarding support for qualified applicants who are a good fit for the position.
