Overview Join our dedicated team as a NOC Shift Caregiver, in a 10 resident care home, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, ensure safety, and promote well-being for residents in a variety of care settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and community-based homes. Your commitment to quality care will help create a secure and nurturing environment for those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work overnight shifts while making a positive impact every night. Duties Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift, responding promptly to their needs and concerns Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track health status Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Support residents experiencing dementia or memory care needs through behavior management techniques and personalized engagement strategies Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Qualifications Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly preferred Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is essential Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or EMR training are advantageous Experience working with residents' (personal preferences) to provide personalized care tailored to individual needs Familiarity with assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and mobility aids is beneficial Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion Join us in delivering exceptional overnight care that enhances the quality of life for our residents!
