Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote residents' comfort and dignity Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, using specialized techniques to ensure safety and engagement Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks like cleaning resident areas and ensuring proper sanitation practices Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to foster community involvement and mental stimulation Follow all resident rights policies and ensure respectful communication while supporting individual preferences and needs Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral management techniques Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including resident lifting and transfer techniques in accordance with safe patient lifting practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is supported for professional growth Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within a caregiving environment Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation purposes if needed Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of standing or walking throughout shifts Join us as a Direct Care Provider to bring compassion, energy, and expertise into the lives of those who need it most.
