In this vital role, you will provide essential support to clients by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption. Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques. Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient observations, medication administration, and other essential records. Ensure a safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards. Requirements Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy. Experience providing dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care or supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities. Ability to assist with medication administration and perform basic first aid and CPR when necessary. Skilled in manual handling techniques including patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts.
