Responsibilities Provide compassionate companionship and attentive care to seniors and adults with varying levels of independence. Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene as appropriate. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and maintaining regular daily routines. Provide mobility assistance, including support with walking, transfers, and positioning when required. Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, changing linens, organizing living areas, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Provide companionship through conversation, recreational activities, walks, and other appropriate social activities. Offer reminders for medications and appointments in accordance with the client's care plan and applicable policies. Observe and report changes in a client's behavior, physical condition, mobility, or overall well-being. Communicate professionally with clients, family members, supervisors, and other members of the care team. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, daily activities, incidents, and changes in the client's condition. Follow established safety procedures, care plans, and emergency protocols. Respect each client's privacy, personal preferences, independence, and dignity. Requirements Previous experience providing care to seniors, adults with disabilities, or individuals requiring assistance with daily living is preferred. Experience as a caregiver, home care aide, personal care assistant, CNA, or in a related role is highly valued. First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or may be required depending on the position. Knowledge of basic senior care, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and fall-prevention practices is beneficial. Ability to demonstrate patience, compassion, reliability, and professionalism. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow individualized care plans and instructions. Ability to recognize and appropriately report changes in a client's condition or potential safety concerns. Familiarity with mandated reporting requirements and elder abuse prevention is preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat every client with respect and dignity.
