Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, especially in dealing with dementia patients. A strong disposition is a must. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals with diverse needs, including seniors who live, socialize, and do activities together. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including helping with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, cleaning, and organization of household items. Maintain a strong disposition and best practices when encountering behavior issues related to dementia. Accompany clients to and from social activities. Support clients with memory and related cognitive skils. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care activities and communicating effectively with healthcare teams. Maintaining a safe living space to prevent falls. Respond promptly to client needs in case of emergency. Experience Prior experience working as a live-in caregiver or in home healthcare settings is highly preferred. IHSS approved is not required but strongly preferred. Familiarity with home health care regulations, medical terminology, patient transfer methods, and use of EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation. Proven ability to work with patients requiring assistance with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. Experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is advantageous. Knowledge of patient personal care procedures including catheter care, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and CPR certification is desirable. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients and their families while maintaining professionalism and compassion throughout caregiving duties.
