Job Description

Job Overview Davine Homes is seeking a dependable, motivated, and compassionate professional to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, good judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties Ability to remain attentive and responsive to residents throughout the scheduled shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform routine household and caregiving tasks. Ability to assist with resident mobility and physical-support needs consistent with training and job requirements. Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene as appropriate. Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, and maintaining appropriate nutrition and hydration. Provide medication reminders and/or medication assistance in accordance with applicable training, policies, and regulations. Monitor residents' health, safety, behavior, and overall well-being and report concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor. Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support while promoting dignity, independence, and personal choice. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and other physical-support needs as required. Encourage participation in appropriate recreational, social, educational, and life-skills activities. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe residential environment. Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as needed to support the household. Prepare and maintain accurate progress notes, medication records, and other required documentation. Follow house rules, emergency procedures, and Davine Homes policies and procedures. Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, coworkers, supervisors, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team. Maintain confidentiality and protect residents' privacy and personal information. Recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies, changes in condition, behavioral concerns, or safety issues. Complete required training and maintain any certifications or credentials required for the position. Maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate appropriate judgment when interacting with residents. Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive home environment. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with elderly adults, individuals with disabilities, or individuals with a mental health diagnosis. CPR and First Aid certification. Medication-assistance or medication-management training, when applicable to the position. Experience with behavioral support or de-escalation techniques. Previous experience working in a residential care or group-home setting.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy and dignity. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, care plans, and company policies. Ability to accurately complete required documentation and daily records. Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident's condition or behavior. Demonstrated patience, compassion, dependability, and professionalism. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with residents. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling challenging or emergency situations.
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 32.0 per week
