ABOUT THE CLIENTS

A woman in her 40s is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers with experience assisting with wheelchair transfers. She is weight-bearing and requires standby assistance for safe transfers, along with support for daily living activities including toileting, showering, dressing, meal preparation, and feeding. She is an avid reader with a love for Irish literature and other intellectual pursuits, and enjoys thoughtful conversation and a calm, respectful atmosphere. An animal lover at heart, she also shares her home with a small, friendly dog—comfort around pets is essential. This position is ideal for someone who is attentive, patient, and enjoys providing meaningful, person-centered care in a welcoming home environment.

AVAILABLE WEEKLY SHIFTS

Sundays 3:00pm to 9:00pm Thursdays 3:00pm to 10:00pm Fridays 3:00pm to 9:00pm Saturdays 9:00pm-9:00am Coverage shifts are often available on an as-needed (by clients) basis. We provide support to our clients 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. There are also various shifts available working with other clients.

DUTIES:

Our attendants assist our clients with any tasks necessary for them to live independently. These duties may include, but are not limited to, personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc), household upkeep, meal preparation, community outings, medication assistance and various other tasks.

COMPENSATION

Starting rate is $21 to $23 an hour depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid CA driver license and currently be insured (we do sometimes have positions available that do not require an employee to have their license, but you absolutely must have a valid ID). You must be able to pass the Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and a separate background check prior to your first day of work. You must be able to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within 3 months of employment.

Our clients live throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties!
