Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance, promote independence, and enhance the quality of life for residents in our home care setting. We have 9 residents. Your energy, attention to detail, and genuine empathy will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for those under your care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a dynamic and supportive team. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Assist with patient medications, following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption as needed. Support residents' cognitive and emotional well-being through engaging activities, companionship, and specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and incident reports in accordance with facility policies. Ensure a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is ideal, but will train for the right candidate. Strong background in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and implementing care plans. Knowledge of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Certification in CPR is required. Background check and health check requires. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed. You will have a set schedule. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
