Caregiver for Elderly ~ NOC Shift Silver Oaks Senior Living Carmichael, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time $18 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Medication administration Patient monitoring Hospice experience Caregiving First aid CPR English Working with seniors Cleaning Personal service experience with elderly individuals Time management Full Job Description We are looking for a compassionate Caregiver to add to our team! This position can be very satisfying and rewarding, as our 6 elderly residents appreciate assistance with activities of daily living. The ideal candidate will be patient, friendly, reliable, and have excellent communication skills. Our Caregivers must be over the age of 18, have a clear background & reliable transportation, always honest, and have a positive attitude. :) English & or Spanish speaking, the ability to follow instructions, and perform a variety of tasks such as heavy cleaning & caregiving duties. The temporary shifts available are Tuesdays thru Saturdays 10pm-6am, no other shifts are available at this time. 1-2 year caregiving, hospice, & hoyer lift minimum experience required. Responsibilities Help clients take prescribed medication. Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house. Assist clients with personal care and hygiene Help clients with basic exercises Plan and cooking home made meals (if experienced) Perform housekeeping duties that residents can't complete on their own. Be a pleasant and supportive companion Report any unusual incidents & provide shift updates Make necessary phone calls to families, Administrator, and/or pharmacy etc. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skill Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) will assist with training. Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strong ethics Physical endurance High school diploma or equivalent
