This vital role involves delivering personalized patient care, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in various care settings. As a dedicated caregiver, you will play an essential part in enhancing quality of life through empathetic support, meticulous attention to detail, and professional caregiving practices. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with dignity and respect. Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support tailored to each resident's needs. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using appropriate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist residents during meal times to promote independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and ensuring infection control standards are met. Support residents' mental and emotional well-being through engaging activities, companionship, and communication in their preferred language (Vietnamese, Cantonese or Mandarin). Skills Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in group home, assisted living, nursing home, or home health settings. Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to observe patients carefully for changes in condition and accurately monitor vital signs. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration protocols, patient transfer methods (including Hoyer lifts), and emergency procedures such as CPR and first aid. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation while respecting residents' rights. Capable of heavy lifting and performing manual handling tasks safely while assisting with ADLs or patient transfers. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in home & community care environments with a focus on long-term support. Requirements Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration Negative TB Test Result 1st aid / CPR Certification Valid ID (US Passport / Driver's license and Social security card) and work authorization
