Caregiver - Developmental Disabilities Home Helpers Home Care - 3.0 Costa Mesa, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $21 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Mileage reimbursement 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Paid orientation Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications CPR Certification Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Bathing assistance Full Job Description Job Overview We're seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to support children and adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout Orange County. You'll help clients with daily routines, personal care, and meaningful activities while respecting their choices and encouraging independence. You'll also provide respite support so family caregivers can take a break. Responsibilities Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, according to each client's care plan. Provide companionship and safety supervision. Support activities, social interaction, and community participation based on the client's interests and needs. Follow individualized support plans and any trained behavioral support procedures. Provide medication reminders or assistance only as outlined in the care plan and agency procedures. Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care. Document services accurately and report changes or concerns to the agency. Respect each client's privacy, dignity, and independence. Qualifications Caregiving experience preferred, particularly supporting people with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities. Relevant family caregiving experience is welcome. Patience, dependability, and clear communication skills. Reliable transportation to assigned work locations. Ability to complete required background screening, onboarding, and training before starting an assignment. Ability to safely perform the assigned care duties, with reasonable accommodation as applicable. CPR/First Aid certification, additional languages, and experience with personal care, transfers, or behavioral support are a plus. Schedule Part-time assignments may include daytime, evening, or weekend hours. We match caregivers with clients based on location, availability, experience, and care needs. We are recruiting for upcoming assignments. Start dates and weekly hours depend on client availability. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 30.0 per week
