He lives in his own home with 24/7 support in Encinitas, CA.

We have a position open:

SATURDAY

evenings 4:30-10:00pm, and option to cover other evening shifts when they become available. We anticipate another opening soon. Responsibilities Will drive him to casual dining restaurants nearby, and follow his meal plans and dietary restrictions. Keep a relaxed, engaged, person-centered environment at all times. Young man will enjoy listening to music on his iPad, jumping on his trampoline, spending time in his backyard, and negotiating for a treat. Will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as brushing his teeth, washing face & hands, and getting ready for bed. May require help with his toileting challenges. You will administer medications as prescribed, and log them in meds log. Will follow his (ABA) Behavior Plan and protocols, and log shift notes. Experience Candidates should possess experience & skills in the following areas:

MUST HAVE

Direct experience supporting teens/young adults with autism using an ABA behavior plan.

MUST HAVE

experience driving a teen/young adult with protocols in place for safety. Will need to check your vehicle to insure child safety locks (on doors & windows) are activated, insure young man wears seat belt, and has access to his fidgets and phone for the drive. Car should be kept clean and free of items (that might be consumed or handled). Required to pass State of California background check, and have a valid California Driver License and Social Security Card. Mileage Reimbursement .70/mile, Working on a Major Holiday = 1.5X pay
