Job Responsibilities The Home Care Aide (Caregiver) provides non-medical home care services that support clients in maintaining their independence while promoting safety, comfort, and quality of life.
Here are the essential responsibilities:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Companionship and emotional support Meal planning and meal preparation Medication reminders (non-medical) Light housekeeping related to the client's care Laundry and linen changes Grocery shopping and errands Transportation to appointments (when authorized) Monitoring and reporting changes in the client's condition Completing accurate care notes and required documentation Following individualized care plans Maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries Communicating effectively with office staff regarding schedules, client concerns, and changes in condition Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently while following individualized client care plans and agency policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, families, and office staff. Ability to safely assist clients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and activities of daily living (ADLs), with or without reasonable accommodation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices when appropriate. Ability to accurately complete required care documentation and promptly report changes in a client's condition. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and complying with HIPAA, agency policies, and California Home Care Organization regulations. Reliable transportation to travel to client homes (if applicable to assigned cases). Ability to use a smartphone or mobile device for caregiver communication and documentation. Ability to successfully complete A Touch of Angels LLC's onboarding and required entry-level orientation prior to client assignment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Home Care Aide, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Medical Assistant (MA), or in a related healthcare role. Experience providing care in clients' homes, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care, or hospice settings. Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration through the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Experience caring for seniors, veterans, individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, or other chronic conditions. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Qualified candidates must successfully complete the California Home Care Aide registration and Guardian background clearance process before providing services to clients. $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
