Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lao Speaking Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and engaging environment for clients. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy. Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and sanitary living space, including laundry and household chores. Facilitate transportation for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring client safety at all times. Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support practices. Familiarity with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement and medication administration protocols. Ability to operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills in Lao language; proficiency in English is a plus for effective client interaction. Understanding of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards. Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. CPR and First Aid certification to ensure immediate response during emergencies. Knowledge of home & community care practices along with long-term care experience is preferred.
