Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support to Spanish-speaking clients. This vital role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. As a Spanish Caregiver, you will serve as a trusted companion, delivering personalized care that respects each client's dignity and independence. Your energetic approach and genuine empathy will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued, supported, and empowered to live comfortably at home. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' conditions, noting changes in health status and reporting findings accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Administer medications following medical documentation protocols while maintaining strict adherence to home healthcare regulations and HIPAA confidentiality standards Perform vital signs assessments, catheter care, and basic first aid or CPR in emergency situations to ensure patient safety Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment Communicate effectively with clients in Spanish to understand their needs and provide emotional support, fostering trust and rapport Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home healthcare settings Fluency in Spanish is essential; strong communication skills in English are preferred Knowledge of medical terminology related to geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and developmental disabilities Familiarity with home health care assistance techniques including patient transfer methods and medication administration Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training; additional certifications such as hospice or end-of-life care are a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfer and mobility support Understanding of home health agency operations, home & community care standards, and compliance with healthcare regulations Join us as a Spanish Caregiver to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve!
