Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Non-Medical Home Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have a strong attention to detail, and exhibit a genuine passion for helping others.Location:
Hanford, Lemoore, Tulare, and Visalia, CA.Days & Hours:
Range by Client, applicant availability, and agency needs.Responsibilities:
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, sweeping, changing bed linens, and laundry.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide care for pets, including feeding, walking, and companionship.
- Assist clients with full showering, toileting, grooming, and dressing.
- Aid in transferring and ambulating clients safely.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance (pillbox organizing, opening jars, etc. but no direct medication administration)
- Provide standby assistance as needed to ensure client safety.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Provide respite care to relieve primary caregivers/family members as necessary.
- Report changes in client condition, special requests, and updates to the care plan promptly to the office.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided through weekly case notes.
- Collaborate with the field supervisor and office team for additional support and guidance.
- Adhere to established schedules with minimal changes to ensure stability for clients.
Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Clear background check.
- Reliable transportation and backups.
- Ability to take efficient notes while in the field; weekly submission of case notes required.
- Home care aide registration (or willingness to complete registration within the first day of hiring; this also requires a clear background to process, we help with the paperwork).
- TB negative skin test results (or complete within seven days of hiring).
- Health screening/work clearance (or complete within seven days of hiring).
- Preferably Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), though not mandatory.
- Proficiency in communication; bilingual speakers preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one or more years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to adapt to tasks of varying difficulty levels.
Job Types:
