Job Description
CareNetLA is hiring an experienced caregiver for daytime and overnight in-home care position. We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and professional caregiver to assist a senior female client on Hospice care. The client is blind, does not have dementia, and recently had surgery for colon cancer removal. She can stand with assistance and primarily needs help getting safely to and from the bathroom at night, toileting assistance, shower assistance, mobility support, companionship, and light housekeeping. She has a colostomy bag that will need to be emptied. This is an in-person caregiving position for someone who is attentive, patient, safety-focused, and comfortable providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living. The s Schedule 12 Hour Shifts Daytime Overnight Responsibilities Caregiver responsibilities may include: Assisting with toileting and safe transfers during the night Helping the client walk or stand with assistance Providing fall-risk support and monitoring for safety Assisting with bathing, shower transfers, dressing, grooming, and other ADLs Supporting a blind client with safe navigation around the home Providing companionship and emotional support Performing light housekeeping, such as laundry, dishes, tidying, and keeping the home safe and clean Reporting changes in condition or concerns to the CareNetLA office Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication with the client, family, and care team Emptying colostomy bag Qualifications Applicants should meet the following requirements: At least one year of caregiving experience Experience with elder care, fall-risk clients, or hands-on ADL care preferred Comfortable assisting with toileting, bathing, transfers, and mobility Reliable transportation Valid California Driver's License Current car insurance Clean DMV record with no more than two moving violations Authorized to work in the United States Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Registered with the California Department of Social Services Home Care Aide Registry, including Live Scan fingerprinting COVID vaccination About CareNetLA Caregiving is important work, and it takes a special kind of person to do it well.
