This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering attentive, respectful, and professional care tailored to each person's unique needs. This position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives through hands-on caregiving. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, and home health practices. Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification, and use of patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times.
