Location Burbank and the surrounding areas Responsibilities Deliver non-medical personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to clients with various needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments or community activities. Support clients with specialized care plans tailored to individual needs, including memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental support. Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and sensitive information at all times. Communicate effectively with clients, agency and family members to foster trust and provide updates on care progress. Qualifications Proven experience working in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings; experience with geriatrics or long-term care is valued. Knowledge of patient observation techniques. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies is a plus Knowledge of resident's rights principles. Ability to manual handling tasks safely. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Compassionate attitude is essential. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice or hospice care is a plus. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal support while respecting client dignity and independence.
