Looking for full time and part time PM shift caregiver to care for residents with dementia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in accordance with individualized service plans and within the scope of certification or licensure, following all state laws and professional standards. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining, while promoting dignity, independence, and self-care whenever possible. Respond promptly and effectively to resident needs, pendant calls, and community alarms to ensure safety and comfort. Build trusting relationships with residents through empathy, patience, and understanding, recognizing the unique cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs associated with memory loss. Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in a resident's physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing team. Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures to prevent the spread of communicable illnesses and maintain a secure environment. Promote a clean, organized, and hazard-free living space; collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure resident rooms and common areas remain safe and welcoming. Identify and address environmental or behavioral concerns that may impact resident safety, comfort, or well-being. Always respect and uphold resident rights, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and inclusivity regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, sexual orientation, or disease process. Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral expressions of dementia, addressing psychosocial needs with patience, redirection, reassurance, and supportive interventions.
Requirements:
Specialized training in dementia and memory care preferred. Committed to health & safety Able to do housework and cooking Well-organized and reliable Excellent communication and people skills A positive and compassionate attitude Physical stamina CPR certified High school diploma or equivalent
Work Schedule:
Mon, Wed & Fri 6:30am-2:30pm
