Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home health, senior care, or community care, with a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients. As an In Home Caregiver, you will deliver personalized care services, promote independence, and ensure safety while fostering a respectful and nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve through attentive and professional caregiving. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to report changes or concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease, through specialized techniques and patience. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and support teams to develop and implement effective care plans. Requirements Proven experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in health or behavior promptly. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, or geriatrics is preferred. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance. Excellent communication skills coupled with compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
