Monitor residents' vital signs, observe patient conditions closely, and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas. Support residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods and heavy lifting techniques when necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and resident progress in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being, fostering an environment of trust and respect. Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during all travel activities. Uphold residents' rights by respecting their preferences, privacy, and dignity at all times. Participate in training related to dementia care, Alzheimer's care, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism support, and other specialized areas to continually improve caregiving skills. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately. Experience with medication administration, first aid certification, CPR training, and manual handling procedures such as Hoyer lifts is essential. Familiarity with dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care practices, and resident's rights regulations enhances your ability to provide exceptional support. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration are necessary for success in this role.
