Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver specialized in meal preparation to join our team. Duties Prepare nutritious, appealing meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and care plans Assist residents with eating and drinking, ensuring safety and comfort during mealtime Follow established recipes and food safety protocols, including proper cleaning and sanitation of kitchen areas Monitor residents' food intake and document any dietary concerns or preferences Support residents with assisted living activities, including helping with personal hygiene and mobility as needed Maintain accurate records related to meal service, patient observation, and medication administration when applicable Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by respecting residents' privacy during all caregiving activities Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances effectiveness in this role Familiarity with patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and patient monitoring procedures Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including manual handling and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other equipment Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to hospice care or geriatrics are a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities supports success in this position Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration are essential Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with patient transfers, and stand or walk for extended periods Join us to provide compassionate care that enhances quality of life!
