  • Overview
  • This is a LBTQ assisted living We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to provide dedicated support to patients in need.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical care, with experience working in a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a focus on patient care.
  • Responsibilities
  • The Personal Care Assistant will be responsible for providing daily living assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
They will also assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as administering medication and treatments as directed by medical staff. In addition, the Personal Care Assistant will help patients with mobility and ambulation, and maintain a safe and clean environment. The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Skills
  • Experience working in a medical-surgical setting, preferably in a Level II Trauma Center or teaching hospital
  • Knowledge of geriatric care and ability to work with patients who have chronic conditions
  • Familiarity with outpatient care and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and experience in emergency medicine
  • Ability to provide care to patients in various settings, including PICU and hospital medicine
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with patient care and treatment plans
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
