Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient IHSS Care Provider to support an adult client with physical disabilities. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, making it ideal for someone looking for meaningful work while maintaining a flexible schedule. The client uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with daily living activities. We are looking for someone who is reliable, respectful, and committed to providing quality, person-centered care while promoting the client's independence, dignity, and safety. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well being Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Support clients during outings or appointments through personal transportation assistance Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency procedures

Qualifications:

Previous caregiving, home health, CNA, DSP, or personal care experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities is highly preferred. Comfortable assisting a client who uses a wheelchair. Must be physically able to safely lift and transfer the client. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and follow directions. Reliable transportation.

Requirements :

Must pass a criminal background check. Must have a clean driving record and valid California driver's license. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (not required, can be obtained after hiring ) Must be eligible to enroll as an IHSS Provider through Los Angeles County (staff can provide guidance through the enrollment process if needed).

From $17.00 per hour
