Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and health management. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering personalized care in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and community environments. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for those they serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and overall condition; report any concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met and dietary restrictions are followed Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and transfers Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life and promote mental well-being Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents according to facility protocols Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated experience with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and implementing care plans Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support Hands-on experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Familiarity with medication administration procedures and emergency response protocols including CPR and first aid certification Background working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while ensuring safety for both client and caregiver Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
