Caregiver - Weekend NOC & On-Call (Part-Time) RNValor Assisted Living Pasadena, CA Job Details Part-time | PRN $20 - $23 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Paid training 401(k) matching Paid orientation Flexible schedule Paid sick time Qualifications Teamwork Meal preparation Geriatrics Meal assistance Full Job Description Job Summary RNValor Assisted Living is a small 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers for Weekend Overnight/NOC and On-Call/PRN positions. We provide personalized care in a comfortable residential setting and are looking for caregivers who are attentive, reliable, patient, and comfortable working with older adults, including residents with dementia and varying levels of assistance. The Weekend NOC position is an awake overnight shift. Caregivers must remain awake, alert, and responsive to resident needs throughout the entire shift. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including toileting, incontinence care, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility Provide dementia and memory-care support Respond promptly to resident call lights, alarms, and other needs Perform routine resident safety checks and provide supervision throughout the shift Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility according to each resident's care needs Assist residents with self-administration of medications according to RCFE regulations, physician orders, and facility procedures Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report concerns to the administrator or appropriate care provider Complete required caregiver documentation accurately Maintain resident rooms and common areas in a clean and safe condition Perform laundry and light housekeeping duties Assist with meal preparation, breakfast setup, and other household duties as assigned Follow resident care plans, facility procedures, infection-control practices, and emergency procedures Weekend NOC Position Regularly scheduled weekend overnight shifts Must remain awake throughout the shift Responsible for overnight resident supervision and care Complete assigned overnight housekeeping and laundry duties when resident care needs are met Assist with early-morning resident care and breakfast preparation/setup On-Call / PRN Position Provides additional coverage for caregiver call-outs, vacations, scheduling needs, and changes in resident care needs May include day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts Applicants should indicate which shifts and days they are generally available Ability to accept occasional short-notice shifts is highly valued Qualifications Previous professional caregiving experience preferred RCFE, assisted living, memory care, hospice, or senior-care experience preferred Experience caring for residents with dementia strongly preferred Dependable, punctual, patient, and compassionate Comfortable providing hands-on personal care Able to perform the physical duties of caregiving, including assisting with transfers and repositioning using appropriate assistance or equipment Able to communicate clearly with residents, families, coworkers, and management Must meet applicable California RCFE employment, health, training, and criminal-record clearance requirements Why Work at RNValor Assisted Living?
