Bilingual Caregiver / Personal Assistant — $30/hour Sacramento County | English-Spanish | 4 days

• 34 paid hours per week Meaningful work, a consistent schedule, and a collaborative care team. We're seeking a patient, dependable caregiver to become the primary personal assistant for a young adult with autism and an intellectual disability. He enjoys music, creative activities, family time, and community outings. His beloved longtime caregiver is retiring after years of dedicated care. This is an opportunity to build a lasting connection while joining an established team of six caregivers who collaborate with his family and therapists. Pay and schedule $30 per hour; 34 paid hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Once a month, a Saturday or Sunday shift replaces Tuesday in the same workweek, arranged in advance. Wednesdays and most weekends off. Paid 30-minute meal break , with another caregiver providing coverage. No employer-sponsored health insurance. Legally required leave and protections apply. What you'll do Provide respectful, hands-on assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals while protecting privacy and encouraging independence. Support choices and communication using his iPad-based communication system. Help him participate in meaningful routines, recreation, and community activities. Follow individualized behavior and safety plans, including support during distress or self-injury. Work alongside other caregivers when additional support is needed. Collaborate with family and therapists, share clear observations, and learn his preferences, routines, and communication style. What you bring Three or more years of relevant experience supporting people with autism, intellectual disabilities, or significant behavioral support needs. Spanish and English communication skills to collaborate with Spanish-speaking caregivers and English-speaking team members. Experience and comfort providing adult personal care, including toileting and hygiene. Patience, reliability, and openness to coaching and feedback. Interest in building a lasting, respectful relationship. RBT certification or related training preferred, but not required. Relevant experience and a willingness to learn are highly valued. Guidance on individualized routines and support plans will be provided. This is a personal-assistance role that follows clinical guidance; it does not involve independently designing behavioral treatment.
