We're seeking a dependable, compassionate caregiver to become a primary support person for a young adult with autism and an intellectual disability. He enjoys music, creative activities, family time, and supported community outings. You'll join a six-person caregiving team, build a trusting relationship, and collaborate with his family and therapists. This is a long-term, hands-on role for someone who brings patience, sound judgment, and a genuine willingness to learn. What Makes This Opportunity Different Four workdays and three days off each week. $30/hour , with a 30-minute paid, duty-free meal break. Wednesdays and most weekends off. Individualized training and collaboration with experienced caregivers and therapists. A meaningful relationship supporting one adult at home and in the community. What You'll Do Assist respectfully with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, meals, and daily routines. Learn his AAC communication system and support his choices, preferences, and requests. Help him enjoy outings, music, hands-on activities, and community participation alongside his day-services provider. Follow therapist-directed behavioral, mobility, and protective-equipment protocols. Respond calmly to distress, including self-injury or aggression, with trained strategies and team support. Share observations and clear handoffs with fellow caregivers and therapists. This position involves significant behavioral and safety-support needs. You will work within a coordinated staffing plan, including two-person support and additional assistance during higher-risk activities. This is a Personal Assistant role, not an independent clinical ABA position. What We're Looking For Three or more years of relevant caregiving, disability-support, educational, or behavioral experience. Comfort with hands-on personal care and significant support needs. Spanish sufficient for clear caregiver communication and safety handoffs, plus effective communication with English-speaking therapists. Reliability, warmth, teamwork, and openness to coaching. RBT certification, behavioral-support training, or AAC experience preferred—not required. We welcome capable community caregivers and direct-support professionals. Schedule and Benefits Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:

8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Once monthly, take Tuesday off and work Saturday or Sunday instead , during the same workweek. Dates are coordinated in advance—you still work four days. Paid sick leave and required employment protections are provided. Employer-sponsored health insurance is not offered.
