Job Description

Qualifications Current CPR and First Aid Certification Negative TB (Tuberculosis) Test Department of Justice (DOJ) level of Live Scan Valid California Driver's license or California Card Must be at least 18 years old Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish) Fees for the CPR and First Aid Certification, TB Test, and DOJ Live Scan can be reimbursed Responsibilities Take care of developmentally delayed children and adults Report directly to administrative agent Shampooing and bathing in tub, shower, or bed Providing hair care and oral hygiene and assistant with toileting, if safe Assisting with food Assisting in patient activity, if safe Light cleaning around client Making patient's bed and changing linen Emotional support and motivation Maintain appropriate agency records Submit confirmed visits on a bi-monthly basis by the 14th and 30th/31st of every month. Adhere to all reporting regulations per policy Adhere to all safety requirements per regulation and departmental policy Maintain regular verbal and written contact with agency and notify director immediately of an unusual occurrence or change in client status Must attend in-services as scheduled Physical Demands Must be able to move freely and be physically able to assist clients with transferring, positioning, bathing, and other responsibilities Hearing and visual accuracy is required Job Limitations May not administer medications May not perform procedures or skills that require the knowledge, training, and skills of a licensed nurse or certified home health aide May not transport client or family Visits are to only take place inside client's home

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour
