Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in a variety of settings, including home health, assisted living, and memory care facilities. This vital role involves fostering independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support patient mobility using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during transfers and manual handling Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in meaningful activities that promote mental well-being Maintain clean and safe environments by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Document care activities meticulously in accordance with healthcare protocols and communicate effectively with team members about resident progress or concerns Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance or appropriate vehicles Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies is essential Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or manual handling are a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper patient transfer methods; physical stamina for long shifts is necessary Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and support patients with complex needs including hospice or palliative care experience is desirable Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that transforms lives.
