Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full Time Med Tech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and geriatric care, with experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality resident care, assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a safe and supportive environment. Duties Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity. Administer medications accurately following physician orders and document all medication-related activities in electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Monitor residents' vital signs, observe changes in health status, and report findings promptly to nursing staff or supervisors. Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support to ensure comfort and safety. Maintain thorough medical documentation, including medication logs, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with state healthcare regulations. Perform manual handling tasks safely when assisting residents with transfers or mobility exercises; utilize proper techniques to prevent injury. Follow infection control protocols such as proper hand hygiene and equipment sanitation to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Skills Proven experience working with seniors in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures including CPR and first aid certification. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers; strong manual handling skills required. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require specialized memory care services such as Alzheimer's or dementia care. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions and resident engagement; compassionate approach essential. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information at all times. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations governing senior care facilities; ability to adhere strictly to policies regarding resident safety and rights.
