Caregiver Residential Care Center - 5.0 Sacramento, CA Job Details Part-time From $18 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork BLS Certification High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Bathing assistance Full Job Description About Us We are a licensed 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in California providing compassionate, person-centered care to seniors, including those with co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Our home-like setting focuses on dignity, safety, and enhancing quality of life for each resident. Position Summary We are seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to support residents with activities of daily living while also addressing behavioral and emotional needs related to mental health conditions. Ideal candidates are patient, attentive, and experienced in working with individuals with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or cognitive impairments. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration (per Title 22 regulations) Observe and document resident behavior, mood changes, and overall condition Support residents with mental health needs using de-escalation and redirection techniques Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed Communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and support personnel Follow individualized care plans and behavior support strategies Qualifications Prior caregiving experience in an RCFE, assisted living, or similar setting preferred Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses highly desired Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral support techniques is a plus Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Requirements (California RCFE Compliance) Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Criminal background clearance (Live Scan) Current First Aid & CPR certification TB test clearance Clear Physical Completion of required RCFE caregiver training (or willingness to complete upon hire) Compensation Hourly pay: $18/hour Training and continuing education provided Supportive team environment
