Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Korean Speaking Caregiver to join our dynamic caregiving team. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately. Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Provide companionship and emotional support through active communication in Korean to foster trust and comfort. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents in accordance with regulatory standards. Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident areas to promote a safe and hygienic environment. Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques. Participate in care planning meetings to develop tailored support strategies that respect residents' rights and preferences. Ensure compliance with all home health protocols, hospice care guidelines, and safety procedures including first aid and CPR readiness. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or long-term care environments preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize health changes promptly. Hands-on experience with patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support techniques, and neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality practices, and documentation standards required for home health or hospice settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities supports success in this role. Strong communication skills in Korean are essential for effective interaction with residents and their families. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications related to geriatrics or senior care are a plus.
