Part-Time Caregiver — Weekend & Weekday Shifts (Residential Senior Care Home) Orchid Meadows Residential Care Facility for the Elderly San Jose, CA Job Details Part-time | Per diem $19 - $24 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification First Aid Certification Bathing assistance Meal assistance Full Job Description About Us Orchid Meadows is a warm, intimate 6-bed residential care home for the elderly (RCFE) in San Jose. We're not a large facility — we're a small family-style home where every caregiver knows every resident by name, by story, and by what makes them smile. We're looking for someone who wants to bring real heart to this work, not just clock in and out. What You'll Do Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal care — with patience and dignity Support residents with medication reminders and self-administration, following our care plans Prepare and assist with meals, snacks, and hydration Engage residents in daily activities, conversation, and companionship — this is as much about connection as it is about care Help with safe transfers and mobility support, especially for residents with fall risk or Parkinson's-related needs Communicate clearly with our care team and follow each resident's individualized care plan Keep the home clean, safe, and welcoming Who We're Looking For A genuinely compassionate, kind, and patient person — this matters more to us than almost anything else on this list Caregiving experience preferred , ideally in a residential care home, assisted living, or home health setting Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility support (walkers, gait belts, etc.) Reliable and consistent Willing to complete (or already holds) California's required 40-hour RCFE caregiver training, current TB clearance, and a clean background check/Live Scan Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain one Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset — you'll be working closely with our small, tight-knit staff
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 12.0 per week
