Job Description
Looking for meaningful, part-time work? Home Instead has served seniors throughout San Luis Obispo County for more than 15 years. We provide professional training, ongoing support, and opportunities to grow within senior home care. We are hiring compassionate Care Professionals for recurring weekday assignments in and around San Luis Obispo. Most available shifts begin between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and last approximately four hours. This position may be especially suitable for someone seeking a consistent daytime schedule rather than full-time or overnight work. What You'll Do You'll help older adults remain safe and independent in their homes. Depending on the client, responsibilities may include:
- Companionship and conversation
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation and errands
- Medication reminders
- Mobility assistance
- Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Communicating changes or concerns to our support team No professional caregiving experience is required. We provide the training needed to succeed. What We're Looking For
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping older adults
- Able to work recurring Monday-Friday assignments
- Comfortable accepting four-hour shifts starting between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance
- Able to satisfy applicable background
- Willing to assist with both companionship and personal-care needs
