Approximately 3 weeks after baby's birth (Due October 2, 2026) About the Position A first-time family in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, CA , is seeking a warm, experienced, and dependable Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to provide overnight newborn care and postpartum support during the early weeks of their baby's life. This is a wonderful opportunity for an NCS who enjoys helping new parents feel confident, supported, and reassured as they navigate the newborn stage. Both local and traveling NCS candidates are welcome to apply! Traveling specialists are responsible for arranging their own accommodations. Your Responsibilities Provide attentive overnight newborn care and support. Help establish healthy sleep foundations and age-appropriate routines. Offer guidance and reassurance to first-time parents. Support parents as they adjust to life with their newborn. Maintain a calm, nurturing, and organized overnight environment. Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Experienced and confident in newborn care. Warm, patient, and nurturing. Knowledgeable about newborn sleep and postpartum support. Dependable and comfortable working independently overnight. Passionate about educating and supporting first-time parents. Household Information The family has two friendly dogs Both dogs are friendly and harmless. The German Shepherd may bark when someone arrives, but candidates should feel comfortable working in a home with pets. Requirements Newborn Care Specialist certification or formal training required.
