Community Caregiver / Companion - Part-Time Connections With Care Temecula, CA Job Details Part-time $30 - $35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities Assisting with ADLs Driving Direct support Rehabilitation care assistance Full Job Description We are looking for a kind, dependable, and patient Community Caregiver/Companion to support a 41-year-old man who has recently experienced some health changes and would benefit from additional companionship, assistance at home, and support getting out into the community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building genuine connections, encouraging independence, and helping someone stay active and engaged in their community. Responsibilities Provide friendly companionship and meaningful social interaction Accompany him to community activities, appointments, errands, recreational activities, and outings Encourage participation in activities and help maintain a positive daily routine Provide assistance with appropriate activities of daily living (ADLs) and tasks around the home Provide light assistance with household organization and everyday tasks Offer reminders and gentle support as needed Help promote independence while providing appropriate supervision and assistance Be attentive to changes in needs and communicate appropriately with the family/support team Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Compassionate, patient, and dependable Comfortable working one-on-one and building a trusting relationship Enjoys getting out into the community and participating in activities Respectful of individual preferences, privacy, and independence Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with daily activities Reliable with transportation and willing to drive for community outings, if needed Able to communicate well with family and other members of the support team Prior caregiving, companion, personal care, or experience supporting individuals with disabilities or health-related needs is preferred Enjoys supporting others through rehabilitation and physical therapy Schedule & Compensation 3 days per week 5-hour shifts Approximately 15 hours per week $30-$35/hour , depending on experience and qualifications Schedule can be discussed with the family We are looking for someone who is interested in becoming a consistent and trusted part of his support team. The right person will be someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, encourages independence, and can provide both practical assistance and positive companionship.
