Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for senior with specific health needs. This role involves supporting patient in their evening activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Hours of shifts needed 11:00pm to 7:00am. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatrics and senior care, with a strong commitment to respectful and empathetic assistance. Duties Provide in-home personal care tailored to the needs of elderly or hospice patients, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and daily routines Support client with activities of daily living such as changing adult diapers and preparing meals when necessary Monitor vital health indicators, including glucose levels, and administer oxygen therapy as prescribed Assist with home health tasks such as medication reminders and basic health monitoring Offer companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote emotional well-being Respectfully assist clients who are hard of hearing or have other communication challenges Provide respite care for primary caregivers by offering reliable support during scheduled shifts Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed Qualifications Prior experience in senior care, geriatrics, or home health preferred Knowledge of basic health monitoring techniques, including glucose level checks and oxygen administration Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide respectful assistance Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Reliable, patient, and attentive to the individual needs of client Certification in CPR or first aid is preferred Must be able to communicate effectively; being hard of hearing is understood as a communication consideration rather than a barrier This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a senior requiring specialized care.
