Schedule:

Saturdays and Sundays, about 6 hours each day. Times are flexible.

Pay:

$30/hour, W-2 (taxes withheld, not 1099).

[City], South Bay — private home. About the job We're a family looking for someone kind and dependable to spend weekends with our 31-year-old son, who has cerebral palsy. He uses a wheelchair and needs hands-on help through the day. He's alert, social, and easy to be around. His favorite thing in the world is swimming. With a flotation tube he can move his whole body freely in the water, and helping him get back to that regularly is a big part of this role. What you'd do Help with showering and personal care, including adult brief changes Help with dressing and getting comfortable in his wheelchair Gentle stretching for his arms and legs — we'll show you the routine Help with meals (he can hold a spoon but needs help getting food to his mouth) Pool time: help him in and out of the water and stay with him while he moves around with his tube Help with transfers between his wheelchair, bed, and shower chair Keep him company and engaged What we're looking for Someone reliable who can commit to both weekend days Physically able to help an adult with transfers Comfortable being in the water with him Okay with personal care, handled respectfully Able to pass a background check No certification or prior experience required. If you've cared for a family member, worked in disability or elder care, or you're a student in kinesiology, nursing, or PT, that's all welcome.
