Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Attendant and become a vital part of providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in residential, assisted living, or community settings. In this role, you will support residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Your energy and empathy will help create a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility needs Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and other cognitive disabilities, using specialized techniques for dementia care Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for residents and staff Engage residents in social activities, group outings, or recreational programs to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning common areas and ensuring resident rooms are tidy Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Medication Certified (Will Train) Current Physical/TB Test Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire Clean DMV Record . Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for transportation needs when necessary Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely DOJ Background Check Clearance Join us if you're passionate about caregiving and eager to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in a respectful, empowering setting.
